Under the sea!

Two crafting options for your little fish – choose between a shark headband or a fish hat.
Once you have your fin-ished crafting, join in the the video workout to get tails swishing!

SHARK HEADBAND

TO FIND:

2 sheets blue A4 paper, 1 sheet black paper, 1 sheet white paper (or 4 sheets of white & colour/paint however you choose! Glue/tape/stapler.
Optional: googly eyes

TO MAKE:

  1. Headband: Cut 2 strips, 4cm wide along the length of one sheet of blue paper and stick 1 end of each together

  2. Shark face: stick the leftover piece of blue paper to the long edge of the other piece of blue paper

  3. Wrap the paper around child’s forehead and mark where it reaches ear to ear

  4. Draw a long arc from the mark to the centre of the top of the paper

  5. Fold paper in half & cut along the arc

  6. Shark mouth: Cut a pointed semi-circle out of the black paper & stick down on the blue paper

  7. Teeth: cut triangles out of the white paper and stick onto the mouth

  8. Stick on or draw the eyes

  9. Fix shark head to the band and wrap band around child’s head to work out where to staple the ends together


FISH HAT

TO FIND:

2 sheets A4 paper, any colour. (You might need to add another width to the end of each piece to fit your child’s head), Glue/tape/stapler, Scrap paper, mix of colours, Pens/decorating materials

TO MAKE:

  1. Put one piece of paper on top of the other and staple 1 corner together

  2. Wrap paper either side of child’s head & mark where to staple the paper

  3. Draw a fish outline and cut out. (Don’t go too close to the staples or the paper might tear later)

  4. Decorate with a big fish eye & scales of multicoloured paper, or felt-tips, etc

  5. ‘Fin-ished’!
