Spring-time at the pond
Follow the instructions to make the masks with the kids. Then watch the accompanying video for a fun spring themed workout!
TO FIND:
1 sheet A4 paper, 2 x yogurt pots, Paint or orbs or crayons, Tape/glue/stapler.
Optional: googly eyes
TO MAKE:
1) Draw lines the length of the A4: Headband: 2x4cm, Legs: 4x2cm, Top of hat: the strip that’s left
2) Cut into strips (if making for more than 1 kid cut 2 or more sheets at the same time)
3) attach the 2 head band strips end to end and colour in
4) Legs: colour in both sides then arrange ends to make a right angle (year 3 curriculum!). Tape together then fold each strip back in turn. Leave in robot long at the end for the lower leg of the frog
5) Top of the head: colour in strip
6) Yogurt pots, draw/stick on eyes and colour in the rest
7) Headband: put around child’s head, remove and staple then replace on head
8) Top of head band: put on top of child’s head, tuck under dudes of head band then fold end ups over headband. Remove & staple
9) Eyes: stick/tape to top of head band
10) Legs: stick onto headband
11) Leap around with your best ‘ribbit’!
QUICK OPTIONS!
Use green paper if you have it
Make a headband only and draw eyes on the front
Use balls of paper for the eyes and single strips of green paper with creases along the strip for the legs.
Use face paint!
